The 2014 scout had a horst link suspension layout and geometry was progressive for its time. The scout comes with 140mm of travel in its stock form but by swapping to a longer stroke shock riders can achieve 150mm of travel. Starting in 2014 the scout had 125mm of rear travel and a 140mm fork. Our large sized scout test bike features a 485mm reach and 617mm stack height.

In 2017 the scout had 125 millimeters of rear wheel travel a 140 millimeter fork a 457 millimeter reach size large 67 degree head angle and a 1 176 millimeter wheelbase again size large. In 2017 transition re did the bike bumping up the travel to 130mm 150mm in the rear and front and again pushed the boundaries on geometry.
